I'm Going to Kindergarten! (Registration required)
Thursday May 30, 2013 1:30-2:30
Get ready for the transition to kindergarten with this program featuring stories, hands-on activities, and a short DVD. For children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2013. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Registration begins April 16. Register here.
Weekly Programs
Baby Time (Registration required)
Wednesdays 10:30–11:00
Children 3–12 months with a caregiver
Stories, rhymes, songs, and play for babies and their caregivers. This session will run from May 1-June 12. Registration will be done by lottery from April 16-26. Norfolk residents have lottery priority.
Multi–Age Storytime
Wednesdays 11:15–11:45
Children 2 and up with a caregiver
An interactive drop–in story time with songs, games, and a hands-on activity.
This session will run from May 1-June 12.
On My Own Storytime
Wednesdays 1:30–2:00
Children 3 and up
An independent story time experience with books, songs, and a hands-on activity. Parents must stay in the building, but are encouraged to let children attend the program alone. This session will run from May 1-June 12.
Mother Goose on the Loose
Thursdays 10:15-10:45 or 11:15-11:45
Children up to age 3 with a caregiver
A highly interactive program for babies, toddlers, and caregivers. Join us for songs, rhymes, puppets, lap bounces, and more! This session will run from May 2-June 13.
Picnic Playgroup
Fridays 11:30–12:15
Children up to age 5 with a caregiver
Bring a lunch and enjoy music, stories, and fun. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. This session will run from May 3-June 15.
Monthly Programs
Ed Morgan Sing–Along
First Tuesday of every month 10:30–11:00
All ages welcome
Join Ed for singing, dancing, and an all–around great time. No need to register—just drop in! This program will not meet on May 7, so our last visit from Ed for this school year is June 4, 2013. Don't miss it!
Yoga for Preschoolers (Registration required)
Second Tuesday of each month 10:30–11:30
Age 3–5 with a caregiver
This program will introduce simple yoga poses, movement, and breathing exercises. It also includes a short storytime. Sponsored by Self Help, Inc. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. All upcoming sessions of this program are full.
Toddler Time (Registration required)
Tuesday, April 30 10:30–11:15
Age 12-24 months
Hands-on activities, exploration, and imaginative play for toddlers and their caregivers. Sponsored by Self Help, Inc. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. All upcoming sessions of this program are full.
Preschool Play and Learn (Registration required)
Fourth Tuesday of each month 10:30–11:30
Age 2 1/2–5
A playgroup for preschoolers and their caregivers. Activities may include tactile play, movement, stories, and crafts. Sponsored by Self Help, Inc. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. All upcoming sessions of this program is full.
