Friends of the Norfolk Public Library
Who are the Friends of the Library?
"The Norfolk Public Library Friends" is a non-profit organization designed to stimulate community interest in library services and to support the library in providing these services.

What do Friends do?
Through a program of volunteer, promotional, and fundraising activities, "Friends" help acquire important materials and equipment beyond the limit of the library's regular operating budget. They also aim to inform the community of the library's resources, services, and needs.

The Friends Contribute to the library by:
Providing passes to:
Providence Children's Museum
Children's Museum of Easton
Museum of Fine Arts
The John F. Kennedy Library
Plimoth Plantation
Roger Williams Zoo
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
New England Wildflower Society

Support the library’s book and DVD rental programs.
Supporting Summer Reading Clubs
Sponsoring special children's programs
The Friends also provide the free Book Page magazine which has reviews of the latest books for children and adults and books on CD.

Future Goals
To continue to provide patrons with access to current & innovative technologies
To contribute to a “technology fund” which will ensure that the library technology is keeping pace with updated hardware and software

Why do we need friends?
The library needs your help in order to augment its services and programs. Your interest, assistance, and contributions will make our library an outstanding cultural, recreational, and educational center dedicated to serving our entire community.

How do you become a member?
