Programs for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

Saturdays with Sarah
First and third Saturdays
Ages 0-6 with caregiver

Join Miss Sarah for a Saturday storytime and craft, then stay and play! Enjoy music, rhymes, and more.
This program will meet on the following dates: November 1, November 15, and December 6

Weekly Programs

Baby Time
*Please note the day and time have changed for this program!
Second, third, and fourth Tuesday of the month (Nov. 18 only)
Ages 0-12 months with caregiver

Stories, rhymes, songs, and play for babies and their caregivers. Baby Time is now a drop-in program, so there is no need to register!

Multi–Age Storytime
Age 2 and up with a caregiver

An interactive story time with songs, games, and a hands-on activity. No registration required.

On My Own Storytime
Age 3 and up

An independent story time experience with books, songs, and a hands-on activity. Caregivers must stay in the building, but are encouraged to let children attend the program alone. No registration required.

Mother Goose on the Loose
Age 0–3 with a caregiver

A highly interactive program for babies, toddlers, and caregivers. Join us for music, rhymes, puppets, lap bounces, and more! No registration required. No meeting May 8.

Picnic Playgroup
Age 0–5 with a caregiver

Bring a lunch and enjoy music, stories, and fun. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care.


Monthly Programs

Ed Morgan Sing–Along
First Tuesday of each month (Starts October 7)
All ages

Join Ed Morgan for a sing-along with great music and dancing. A splendid time for everyone! Caregivers must remain with children. No registration required.

Yoga for Preschoolers (Registration required)
Second Tuesday of each month
NEW TIME: 11:00-12:00
Age 3-5 with caregiver

This program will introduce simple yoga poses, movement, and breathing exercises. It also includes a short storytime. Sponsored by Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Program.
No meeting November or December.

Toddler Time (Registration required)
Third Tuesday of each month
NEW TIME: 11:00-12:00
Age 12-24 months with caregiver

Hands-on activities, exploration, and imaginative play for toddlers and their caregivers. Sponsored by Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Program.

Preschool Play and Learn (Registration required)
Fourth Tuesday of each month
NEW TIME: 11:00-12:00
Age 2-5 with a caregiver

A playgroup for preschoolers and their caregivers. Activities may include tactile play, movement, stories, and crafts. Sponsored by Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Program.

Youth programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library
